In the MAS museum an exhibition has openend about Antwerp in the painful period 1940-1945.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On 8 September 2023, a new exhibition about Antwerp during the Second World War opens at the MAS. Antwerp was particularly hard hit by the war. Nazi terror, persecution of Jews and military violence killed 25 000 people. Captivating personal stories make this important part of history tangible.(MAS website)<\/i><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Atlantic Wall headquarters and its current form as a museum can also be noticed, the latter, among other things as providing the loan of the toy figures of V1 victim Frank Zwitsers. A \u201cmemory object\u201d of one of many and diverse victims.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Bunkermuseum Antwerp is of course very pleased that there is now a place in the city, at least for the next 5 years, where one can become acquainted with the various aspects of W.W.2 in Antwerp. <\/p>\n

Admission will be free during the opening weekend (9+10\/9) and there will also be lectures on WW2 in the coming months.<\/span><\/p>\n

If the MAS expo has not satisfied your hunger for history, you can also visit the Bunkermuseum on Sunday or some other of the many other heritage colleagues who are also open as part of Open Monument Day. This sunday you can visit the bunker for free from 10h to 18h.<\/p>
