Location

The museum is located in the Parc "den Brandt" at the parc entrance of the Acacialaan, near the Seringenlaan. When entering the parc there you will find the museum behind the green gate on your left.

Next to but not at house number 15 as Google indicates!

The museum is outside of the LEZ and usually has plenty of parking space near the parkentrance, from there it's 50 yards to the gate (red circle).

Accessibility

Besides the small medical bunker, the entrances to the bunkers that have already been opened can only be reached via a staircase. Inside the bunker, everything is on one level, but the passages are a maximum of 80 cm wide and most of them have a raised edge of approximately 7 cm at the bottom.

Public transport

VELO (Bike sharing service), stations.

  • 270-Dikke Mee, corner Beukenlaan – Eglantierlaan, 400m.
  • 276-Corbusier, corner Populierenlaan – Kruishofstraat, 600m.

BUS, stops.

17 :

  • Antwerpen Della Faillelaan, 400m.
  • Antwerpen Beukenlaan – Dikke Mee, 550m.
    Follow the Eglantierlaan, turn into the first street (Seringenlaan) and walk until the Acacialaan where you will see the parc entrance. 

17, 180, 181, 182, 183:

  • Wilrijk Eglantierlaan, 600m.
    Walk south (descending house numbers) and take the first street on the left (Acacialaan) until you reach the park entrance after 450m. 

TRAM, stops.

6:  

  • Wilrijk Kruishof, 800m.
    Enter Pastoor de Conincklaan and then go left onto the Acacialaan where you arrive at the parc entrance after approx. 600m. 

2 and 6:

  • Antwerpen Olympiade, 900m.
    Walk south down the platform (ascending house numbers) and enter the first street on the left (Populierenlaan). At the first intersection, go left into the Kruishofstraat and then right (Varenlaan). If you cross the intersection and follow the Della Faillelaan, you can turn left into the Acacialaan, after 200m you will arrive at the parc entrance. 

TRAIN, stations:

  • Antwerpen Centraal: Bus 17 + trams 2 and 6 have a stop here.
  • Antwerpen Zuid: Busses 180 and 181 have a stop here.

Automobile

You can reach the museum without entering the Low-Emission-Zone.

Near the parc entrance there is usually ample and free parking space, at ca. 700m distance there is also a PARK & RIDE (Permeke).


E19 from the North:

  • Switch E19 to A12 (Brussels / Mechelen / Boom / Wilrijk).
  • Keep right and follow the A12, signs Boom/Wilrijk, until the exit towards E19/Wilrijk. Then follow the left lane to keep left at the fork and follow the N150 signs.
  • Turn left and follow Gerard le Grellelaan and then turn right into Eglantierlaan. Follow this and turn into Seringenlaan where you will see the parking entrance at the intersection with Acacialaan.

E19 from the South:

  • Take exit 6 (Wilrijk) and turn right into Platanenlaan and further right into Groenerborgerlaan. 
  • Take the next street on the left (Dennenlaan) and follow it until the second roundabout where you take the 3rd exit. 
  • Follow Della Faillelaan to the 5th roundabout and its 1st exit into the Acacialaan, where it meets the Seringenlaan is the parc entrance.

E34:

  • Take exit 5 (Berchem-Wilrijk) and go right (Gerard le Grellelaan). 
  • After about 500m, turn right into Eglantierlaan and then left into Seringenlaan, where it meets the Acacialaan is the parc entrance. 
A12:
  • Follow the middle lane to keep left at the fork and continue on the A112.
  • Take exit 13 and turn right into the Populierenlaan, this bends to the right and becomes Kruishofstraat.
  • Drive straight on until Berkenlaan and turn left to Acacialaan where you will find the parc entrance where it meets the Seringenlaan.
