Sunday, June 2, will be Bunker Day in Belgium, our northern neighbors will have theirs a week earlier.

In the Netherlands, many bunkers of the Atlantic Wall will be opened to the public again on Saturday, May 25, from Zeeland to the Wadden Islands. Information about all the locations, types and practical information can be found on the website Bunkerdag.nl.
Headquarters Antwerp
This year, the Bunker Museum Antwerp will also participate in the Belgian edition, where both large SK1 command bunkers can be visited. This allows visitors to experience the interesting contrast between the restored example and the one where the focus is on preserving its original condition as much as possible.
Curious about the difference between the “Restoration” and “Conservation” of these rare command bunkers? Come and take a look for free on June 2, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.!
At the coast.
Most of the bunkers that can be visited on Bunker Day are of course located near the coast where people can visit, for example Nieuwpoort, Koksijde or De Haan for free tours. A bit further removed from the coast and W.W.2 is the Cold War command bunker of the Kemmelberg. More info on all the participants will be available on the Raversyde website.
